Giants won’t use franchise tag on Saquon Barkley again in 2024: source

The Giants will not be tagging running back Saquon Barkley again this year, according to a source.

As expected, Barkley now will be able to gauge his value on the free agent market.

It’s still possible he returns to the Giants after testing the waters. But it’s more like he will be playing somewhere else in 2024, with Giants GM Joe Schoen having a deep free agent RB market and a good mid-round draft crop to address the running back position more affordably to his liking.
